Amol Pawar is an Indian artist known for his unique paintings which often feature mythological figures. Amol completed his G.D. in Applied Art from the Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya in Pune, Maharashtra. The mythological tales that Amol heard growing up, as well as the rangoli patterns he adores, often find their way into his beautiful, layered art.

Amol Pawar experiments with various mediums, forms, colours and textures in his brilliant artworks which reflect his own rhythm of life. A mix of figurative and abstract art, the artist’s works are predominantly completed in earthy hues, mirroring his strong connection with nature. The distinctive use of contrasting dark and light colours add dimension and depth to Amol’s works.

The human figure in Amol’s paintings represents him, and the depiction of Shakti is a reflection of the eternal love between man and woman. Amol believes in a guiding figure or mentor, which shows in his portrayal of the Sadhu. He also depicts fierce, powerful animal figures in his artworks. Interesting elements such as numbers and calligraphy, and line drawings of temples, trees, flowers and leaves, enhance the allure of Amol’s paintings.
