NAGESH GOUD
Bolgum Nagesh Goud is a gold medallist from Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University , Hyderabad, where he completed his degree in Fine Arts.
Nagesh Goud’s paintings take inspiration from the great Indian epics – the Mahabharata and the Ramayana. With symbolism fused into his paintings, he works with strong hues and detailed imagery. One can see a strong influence of the Paithani and Kalamkari way of art in Nagesh Goud’s artworks. With a strong base of traditional art, The master artist Nagesh Goud infuses elements of Modern Indian Art thus making it a form of contemporary artwork from India.The use of metallic acrylic paints on canvas gives it an exceptional luminescence.
Artist Nagesh Goud has participated in numerous exhibitions and artists’ camps all over India and abroad. He was awarded by the Hyderabad Art Society in 2010, as well as JNTU in 1989-1991 and was “Highly Commended” by the Lalit Kala Samiti, Siddipet in 1987. His work is part of several important private collections in India and abroad.
